WandaVision Episode 6: "All-New Halloween Spooktacular"

WandaVision Episode 6: "All-New Halloween Spooktacular" is this series sitcom Halloween episode, just like recent episode of WandaVision the episode is split between Wanda's reality and what is happening in the real world.

In Wanda's reality the family are celebrating Halloween with Uncle Pietro who plays the stereotypical uncle in sitcom role getting up to mischief with the kids which is great to see and Even Peters appears to be having a lot of fun returning to the role of Quicksivler in the MCU setting. Wanda of course is still not sure why her brother is now with her in Westview and puts those questions to him throughout the episode, with him responding that he remembers being shot in the street (during the event of Avengers: Age of Ultron) and then hearing Wanda's voice comes to her in Westview, this certainly still needs to be explored moving forward as to how this is possible and what implications it might have on the rest of the series.

Outside Wanda's reality or the "Hex" as it is being called Monica, Darcy and Wu are continuing to delve into the goings on and after a tense exchange between them and Director Hayward get removed from the base and the case overall. This of course doesn't go smoothly, and they escape with Monica and Wu leaving to find Monica source that can help them enter the Hex, whilst Darcy stays behind to investigate what Director Hayward wants with Vision as we learn that he is tracking Visions movements in the hex. What Hawyard wants with Vision will have to be explored later on in the series but considering his body appeared to have been torn apart in one of S.W.O.R.D's labs it must have some consequences for the series and maybe the MCU moving forward.

Of course, this episode had some big moments, from Billy and Tommy getting their powers, Wanda, Vision, Quicksilver and the kids in comic accurate costumers (as their Halloween costumes) but the biggest reveal comes with Vision furthering his investigations and suspicious, finding Agnes at the edge of the Hex, and finds out that he is dead which leads him to try and find out what's beyond Westview. This leads to Vision breaking through the barrier and him falling to the ground with parts of his body being pulled back into the "Hex" with him essentially being torn apart, this results in Wanda having to expand the "Hex" dragging Vision back in (saving his life) and dragging in the S.W.O.R.D base and the majority of the team turning it into a circus and the S.W.O.R.D team into circus performers.

Overall, this episode is a lot of the fun with all the Halloween elements and the comic accurate costumes, but it is great to see the stakes are being raised in this episode with the Hex being extended and questions being raised with what Hayward is up to with Vision's body.

Verdict: 4 / 5 stars
