WandaVision Episode 4: "We Interrupt This Program" Review

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Welcome back to our review on WandaVision Episode 4:"We Interrupt This Program" review. Now this episode without a doubt is completely different from what we have seen in the series so far, in the sense that majority of episode is actually set outside Westview in the real world, following Monica Rambeau and introduces S.W.O.R.D to the MCU as they instigate the strange going on in Wanda's reality.

What I particularly enjoyed about this episode was the fact that we are given some explanations of some of the breaches into Wanda's reality including the beekeeper which turns out just to be a S.W.O.R.D agent and the helicopter that Wanda finds early in episode two which just happens to be a drone sent in by Monica Rambeau as an initial investigation. We also get some returning characters to the MCU in the form of Darcy Lewis from the Thor Franchise returning as a doctor and a specialist investigating the happenings going on in Westview and Agent Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp who is also investigating a missing person case who just happens to have gone missing from Westivew. It was great seeing these characters again and allow them to shine away from the franchises that introduced them to the MCU.

Whilst this episode certainly did explain and explore some of the questions we initially had during the first three episodes, episode 4 "We Interrupt This Program" certainly creates some new questions such as what action will S.W.O.R.D take now that they now Wanda and Vision are inside, is Wanda really in control of this reality or is there a hidden mastermind and of course with that end sequence of the image of Vision walking into their house looking like the corpse we last saw in Avengers: Infinity War, could this really mean that Vision is definitely dead and Wanda is manipulating his memory for her own reality?.. well we will have to find out.

It is also worth mentioning that this episode had such a great opening with us being introduced to Monica Rambeau being brought back from Thanos's snap in a hospital with everyone else returning as well creating absolute chaos, and this is a great way to sure the repercussions of Hulk's reverse snap in Avengers: Endgame on the everyday citizens in the MCU.

WandaVision certainly keeps delivering weekly and I am excited to see where the series will go next.

Verdict: 4 / 5 Stars
