WandaVision Episode 2 - Don't Touch That Dial Review

Not only did Disney + release the first episode but they also released the second episode as well which was a good way to get into the series.

WandaVision episode 2 is styled after Bewitched and follows Wanda and Vision trying to fit in with their neighbors and trying to hide any suspicion of their abilities by performing a magic show for the town. Not only does this episode continue building on the relationship of Wanda and Vision and their life together but it is delves into the mystery aspect of the series with certain elements of the real world trying to find their way into Wanda's reality, for example a mini scale helicopter appearing in Wanda's garden but the interesting thing is that the whole episode (apart from the end) is in black and white but the helicopter is in colour which helps to establish the two different realities, also a voice appearing on the radio talking directly to Wanda asking her who is behind this. All of these adds to the mystery of the entire series and delves deeper into the idea that Wanda's perfect reality could start to crumble around her. 

The episode also has a tone of comedy especially during the magic show sequence in which a "gummed up" Vision (essentially a drunk Vision who basically ate a piece of chewing gum) starts to actually use his powers in front of everyone in his magic tricks whilst Wanda tries to cover up his use of powers with her own tricks which is great sequence. 

One of the main aspects of the episode which is certainly creating a lot of questions is the character in the beekeeper attire who appears from the drain and when Wanda says "no" it reverses the episode to an slightly earlier point with Wanda revealing she is pregnant. This creates a lot of questions about Wanda's reality and how she appears to be in control of what happens in her reality. 

Over episode 2 certainly moves the mystery element of the series forward whilst giving us clues of what could be coming with a tone of Easter eggs, it will be interesting to see what happens in the next episode to see if there are any clues as to what is coming in future episodes.
