The Mandalorian Chapter 10: The Passenger Review

Welcome back to our review on The Mandalorian Chapter 10: The Passenger. Chapter 10 follows The Mandalorian who is tasked with safely transporting a mother alien and her eggs to her partner who has information on a group of Mandalorians who might be able to help on The Mandalorians quest to deliver the child to its own kind, A simple task you might ask....but no this is Star Wars nothing is a simple as it seems. 

Now Chapter 10 definitely feels like a filler episode but is leading into the adventure that will take place in Chapter 11 with its open ending to the chapter. The Chapter itself whilst contains action and visual spectacle but the core of the episode focuses on developing and showing off the relationship between The Mandalorian and the child and this chapter really showcases how far there relationship has developed over the events of the first season. The child of course gets a lot of screen time in this chapter and truly deserves it. The sheer work that has gone into making the child as real as possible is truly shown off in this chapter and its cuteness is not only played on but continues to grow, even when the child is doing something naughty (like eating those eggs) you can't help yourself being glued to the characters with your heart melting. 

The Chapter has some great action set pieces first off involving a pair of New Republic X-wings chasing the Razor Crest, which looks fantastic on the screen but it is the later set piece that the chapter really shines. The Chapter delves into the horror genre and that is really captured with the reveal of the spider like creatures in the ice caves chasing the trio and breaking into The Razor Crest, obviously The Mandalorian has a lot of tricks up his sleeve but they do start to feel like a threat as the number continue to grow and grow. 

Whilst this chapter is a great and fun filled adventure it definitely feels like a filler episode that appears to lead straight into chapter 11. Obviously as fans we want the story to continue to move forward and bring us those rumoured character and appearances and after the great chapter 9 fan might be slightly disappointed that the chapter doesn't move the story along slightly further that what they would of wanted but hey it is a sold side quest chapter that has some great action and horror sequences and of course a ton of screen time for the child being as cute as ever.
