Paper Towns Review

"She loved mysteries so much, that she became one"

Paper Towns is based on the book written by the same author who wrote The Fault In Our Stars book. The film follows Quentin (Nat Wolff) and his friends in his search for Margo played by Cara Delevingne who basically loves going off and being free and living life to its potential without the stress and worry of everyday life and of course Margo loves a mystery (who doesn't like a mystery!)

Lets just start of by saying I really enjoyed this film (more than I thought I would actually). Quentin (or Q for short) and his friends have such a great relationship and chemistry on screen that you forget that your watching a bunch of characters and instantly believe that they are real people (honestly they are that believable), Cara Delevingne also does a fantastic job and pulls off the mystery side of Margo and you just want to know whats driving her to do what she does and what she will do next. One of the most enjoyable moments for me was the characters journey not just the physical journey they make to find Margo (who knows how she got there but sshh spoilers) but there emotional journey, you see a group of friends strengthen there already strong friendship but learn how to live life to the fullest (It really teaches you whats important). The film also is funny and gives you that warm feeling that you sometimes get from films that stand out and this film certainly does!

Some of the areas of the film were a little bit predictable especially in one scene later on in the film (this is what happens when you study film!) but honestly it doesn't really ruin the experience of the film and keeps it in check with the idea of mystery. Also I would of liked abit more Cara Delevingne as she really did stand out in the scenes she was in, I understand that she had disappeared (and that was the point of the film) but just a couple of more scenes showing her mysterious side (like early on in the film) which would of been perfect but I understand where the filmmakers were coming from.

Overall I really enjoyed watching this film and I certainly think I will be watching the film again. its defiantly well done and really has strong morals which they portray throughout the whole film and really teach you whats important and how to have fun and live life having fun. I think Cara Delevingne did a really good job acting and I'm looking forward to seeing her in next years DCs Suicide Squad.

Verdict: 4 out of 5
